Dialysis explained

Get support

When you're told you need dialysis it can be a horrible shock. You probably feel afraid and uncertain of what the future holds. But there is help and support out there and we hope we can help guide you through it.

We think the best thing about this site is that it's written only with kidney patients and their families in mind. Our 'Frequently Asked Questions' really are questions frequently asked by patients we've spoken to, and the Top Tips are from patients who've been through the experience themselves.

Whether you need advice on what to take with you to your first dialysis session or to check a medical term this site will hopefully have the answers you need. But if there's something you'd like to know that we haven't covered, please get in touch with us or post a question on our forum.
